Credits Scenes? How Many And What They Mean

Marvel's highly anticipated film Avengers: Endgame is only a few days away from release, and the studio wants to make sure fans go in ready. The scene opens on Steve Rogers (still with his beard!) and Natasha Romanoff in the same lounge room in the Avengers facility where they watch footage of Scott Lang in the Avengers: Endgame trailer They're looking at some kind of global map that's actively tallying the number of dead people around the world.

A giant hammer, in a huge crater, showing the arrival of one of Marvel's most badass superheroes — the post credits scene at the end of Iron Man 2 ticked all the boxes for fans back in 2010, and helped them forget about an otherwise pretty disappointing outing for Tony Stark and co.

Just before he was snapped, Fury activated a beeper that Carol left with him — you know the one, a two-way affair, done up in her classic colors, which she hands off to Fury at the very end of Captain Marvel” — and the first post-credits scene opens with Fury gone and the beeper still very much activated.

Thanos is something of a veteran of Marvel post-credit sequences, having cropped up in three since first appearing in The Captain Marvel Avengers. In this week's edition of Weekend Watch, we're taking a look at the ending of Captain Marvel , and what it means for Avengers: Endgame and beyond.
